Baume and Mercier 'Paracolpi'

€0.00

It is not everyday that you see a watch and learn something new about the history of horology. Therefore when we saw this Baume & Mercier from the early 1940s featuring an Italian dedicated dial (Automatico | Paracolpi) we fell in love.

A precursor of the Patek Phillipe Amagnetic ref. 2417, this steel cased watch has a fantastic and extremely relevant case and dial design. A very circular case with long lugs, sitting incredibly on the wrist. The ivory dial features roman radium indices and very centrally placed sub seconds. The screwback case features the original satin finish as a testimony to how rarely the watch was worn.

Last but not least, this watch is also a technological marvel featuring an early and very intriguing bumper movement. A true horological masterpiece and something we are confident to say, you will never find again.
