Gallet 'Flight Officer'
Introduced in 1939, the Gallet ‘Flight Officer’ was an invaluable military tool. With a newly developed clamshell case and innovative 12 hour rotating bezel the watch was the first of its kind. It was originally commissioned by President Truman who also owned and wore a black dial 1st series version.
Available for sale here is a stunning example of a very early 2nd series. Dating to the early to mid 1950’s it is safe to say that the watch is in unworn condition. The creamy dial is impeccable and retains its original radium numerals. The case is extremely well preserved, unpolished and still with original factory finish. The modified and refinished Venus 150 is ticking strong and accurately.
